Book a trip with us and let our experienced mountain bike guides show you some of southern Utah’s breathtaking scenery. We offer tours on three of the Zion area’s most popular bike trails: the Navajo Lake Loop Trail, the JEM Trail and one of the region’s newest, the Gooseberry Mesa Trail. The Navajo Lake Loop Trail is an 11.5-mile ride through aspen, spruce and fir forests, as well as lava flows and wildflower-covered meadows. The trail’s higher climes are on average 10 to 20 degrees cooler than its desert counterparts. A cliff-side ride next to the Virgin River just west of the town of Virgin, the JEM trail is relatively easy except for a small section of switchbacks. The Gooseberry Mesa Trail traverses a tabletop mesa with superb views of Zion’s towering sandstone monoliths as a backdrop. A guided mountain bike tour with Bike Zion is sure to become a memory that will last a lifetime!
If you are a more adventurous soul, you can create your own custom tours by renting a mountain bike from us then venturing out on some of the area’s other paths and roads without guides. Other enjoyable trails in the vicinity include the Rockville Bench Trail, the Honeymoon Trail and the Hurricane Rim Trail. If you would prefer to ride on the side of a road, try the Smithsonian Butte Scenic Backway, North Fork Road, Smith Mesa Loop, or Kolob Terrace Road. A ride that your entire family could enjoy is the road to Grafton, a ghost town famous as a filming location for “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and other movies. The town offers a picturesque setting with two restored historical buildings, mature vegetation, a cemetery where settlers killed by Indians lay, and the massive sandstone formations of Zion along the northern horizon.
