With a mandatory shuttle system operating during the peak visitor season in Zion, bike tours through the park’s most scenic drive have never been easier or more tranquil. The road now boasts very little vehicular traffic, ensuring better bike safety and less noise pollution. While the shuttle offers a scenic, relaxing ride through Zion Canyon, nothing beats the stunning views a bike tour of the spectacular gorge can provide.
Bike Zion offers guided tours up the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive that the whole family can enjoy, no matter their biking skill level. Along the way, bikers listen to fascinating narration about the park’s history, geology, folklore and wildlife, viewing jaw-dropping scenery while also catching glimpses of animals such as mule deer, wild turkeys, and lizards. If time permits, bikers may also be able to hike one of the canyon’s trails while on the tour.
If you would like to venture into the park alone, you can rent a bike from us and ride the Pa’rus Trail, the only path in Zion that allows bikes. This 3.5-mile paved trail runs along the banks of the Virgin River and boasts little elevation change. It offers a unique view of some of Zion’s towering monoliths. Bikers may access the trail at the visitor center or at the Canyon Junction shuttle stop, which is at the intersection of the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive and State Highway 9.
In addition to our bike tour of Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, we also offer more challenging mountain biking tours through some of southern Utah’s most popular trails. Contact us for more information on how you can view Zion up close and personal by scheduling one of our scenic bike tours or by renting a bike from us.
